I remember it like it was yesterday. We had gone to the Calgary Zoo for a week. On the third or fourth day of our trip, our teacher had wanted to take us to the The Dorothy Harvie Gardens to show us plants, and meet Boyd.
Anyway, the class was split into different groups. Our group came to meet up with the rest of the class. We were a little late but we made it in time.
We had a brief snack, and that’s when we met Boyd. He was a tall man with a kind face.
Anyway, Boyd let us to the Garden. When we went inside, it was such a beautiful place. There were multiple different colour plants. Some short, others reached the glass ceiling! This was such an amazing experience!
This was such an amazing experience that I will never forget. Before our trip, I never really thought of plants as something fascinating. But after our trip to the Dorothy Harvie Gardens, I am really interested in plants. The way Boyd had explained things was fascinating. It was a though he had a special power.
