The African lions are called King of Beasts. They are respected around the world for their strength and power.

HABITAT
African lions live in savannahs, grasslands, and woodlands. They’re found in the sub-saharan Africa. A small population of a sub-species can be found in the Gir Forest of india.

DIET
They eat a variety of animals including zebras, wildebeests, antelopes, and other large hoofed animals; also rodents, including baboons, porcupines, and carrion.

BEHAVIOUR
African lions hunt mainly at night and also around sunrise and/or sunset.
A typical African Lion family consists of female lions(lionesses, they do most of the hunting), cubs, and 2-3 males.
