Our Mission

In 2019, I went to the Calgary Zoo on a field trip for a week. While I was there, I saw various animals and how well they were taken care of. My class and I were lucky enough to see the ‘behind the scenes tiger feeding’ and how the Calgary Zoo worked hard to mimic the animals enclosures to there real-life habitats. It was an invaluable experience. I also saw the various conservation programs the Calgary Zoo was working on. Seeing all of this inspired me to create the Conserving Animals website. My goal is to educate others about what is the Calgary Zoo, what are they doing, and how are they doing it to encourage others to support the Calgary Zoo – as well as raising awareness for endangered animals and supporting them as well.

This website will teach you about:

– All animals in the Calgary Zoo
– Calgary Zoo conservation programs
– Behind the scenes of the Calgary Zoo

  • And so much more!

Our Outreach:

I gave several presentations to classes in elementary schools and junior high schools all over Calgary about this Conserving Animals website.
